Seminar Series

Join us on Friday afternoons to hear from local speakers and visiting scholars. Seminars are held at 3 p.m. in room 114 at the Smith Hall of Art unless otherwise specified.

December 2nd: Internal Seminars with speakers Shreya Prapneja, Christina Pavloudi, and Jennifer Brennan. Topics: Lung & Bronchus Cancer, the Deadliest Cancer in the World, and the Importance of Lung Cancer Screening; Targeted cultivation of novel microbial lineages from steam vent biofilms of Hawaii; Pachycephalosaurian Dinosaurs: a new look at systematics and their anatomy. 

December 9th: Internal Seminars with speakers Ian Wilenzik, Awanti Shastri, and Allyson Evans. Topics: Northern Pangaean origin and early Laurasian regionalization by crown Squamata; Effects of climate change on social insect behavior; A novel form of extreme jaw protrusion in the hingemouth, Phractolaemus ansorgii.
