April Newsletter: Commencement Information- CCAS Doctoral Hooding & Reception 5/14 5pm. CCAS Master's Celebration 5/15 8:30am. CCAS Undergraduate Celebration 5/16: Cognitive Neuroscience at 12pm & Biological Sciences at 3:30pm. Class of 2026 commencement 5/17 10:30am

Celebrating the Department: Congratulations to Dr. Scully for her impactful work with DC Wildlife highlighting the issue of bird deaths caused by human-built environments. Her efforts bring attention to how simple changes, such as making windows more visible to birds, can significantly reduce collisions and help protect bird populations.

Celebrating the Department: Congratulations to PhD student Liz Cramer (Smith lab) and MS (Biodiversity Science concentration) student Sidney Bennett, who both received 2026 Research Awards from the Washington Biologists Field Club for their research projects.

Upcoming Events: Next seminar-April 3rd at 3:00pm. BGSC Biology Research Symposium April 10 2:30-5:30pm. Honors Thesis Presentations on April 24th 8:30am-12pm. Community Science Fair on April 28th 9am-12pm
